Good Reports

February 11th, 2010 by doug

Today we spent our afternoon at the doctor’s. Analeigh had her one month checkup, Marissa had her one month postpartum checkup, and Avalyn got her hearing checked. Thankfully, everyone got good reports. Analeigh is really becoming a gordita (little fatty)! The pediatrician said girls usually gain about 700 grams (1 1/2 pounds) in their first month. Analeigh gained 1350 (3 pounds)! Apparently all that eating and sleeping is paying off. She is just under 10 pounds now.
This afternoon, I caught Avalyn playing in the dining room. She had brought her stuffed animals into the dining room and brought out some books to read to them. She was reading in “Spanish.” It was so cute and I managed to video her without her knowing. Enjoy!

OMG – that is so cute :) I don’t care if she spoke Pig latin (that’s the language of your mother and I), she sounds adorable speaking to her audience :) I remember the day when you figured out exactly what your mom and I were saying when we were speaking Pig Latin. It was so funny because we thought we were being slick (HA). Glad that everyone is healthy and you all are doing well. Miss you!! Love you all lots!!

Seriously cute! The question is, did you know what she was saying to them???
